Music: The Book

By kc! Bradshaw @exkclamation · On November 4, 2010

If you are a fan of Exkclamation, you know it’s music that makes me tick.

Well… a wonderful new book (and iPad app) appropriately (and ironically) entitled Music: The Book just came out, showcasing Andrew Zuckerman’s up-close and personal interviews with 50 diverse popular musicians talking about what makes them tick. Deceptively simple and straight to the point—it seems to push aside all frivolity and delivers a fascinating, rich conversation about the spirit of sound.

I think my favorite interview has to be Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, but all of the interviews I’ve seen thus far have been amazing and beautifully executed—even from genres that aren’t to my taste. And the quality is such that you’ll get your money’s worth with even just watching a few videos on the $10 iPad app. If you like music, this is a must-see.

Enjoy the trailer. Definitely check it out.
